We have no idea about the first musical sounds…
Was it the subtle whisper when the wind made a straw sway? Was it the rippling sound when water ran down a brook? Or, was it the human voice that first created music?
Who knows?
We do know, however, that for thousands of years there has been music: in rites, in dancing, for festivities and for comfort; or simply as a way of expressing human feelings when words are not enough.
We also know that there has been music in Skåne and around the coast of Öresund for thousands of years. Archeological finds of bronze horns are in fact the oldest wind instruments of their kind. The fact that such instruments were often found in pairs implies that they were played together, and hence; this maybe the place where brass music was first heard. So….
